Stepping into England

I arrived in St Albans today...... fittingly, on the feast of St Alban.

St Alban was the first Christian Martyr of England.   He was martyred for the faith only after having converted a few days before his death.  I will share more about his life later, as I believe it is a timely witness for us now.

Tonight, I spent with a large part of the Catholic Community that was gathering for a birthday party.  It was a beautiful way to begin my time here.   This community also has been praying for renewal in the Church... particularly in parish life and in outreach to young people.   They have been anticipating much blessing for the summer.   We will all pray and wait in the fulfillment of His promise.

Please send along any prayer requests this way as well.
